Strength-training
There is many different ways of strength-training, but I would write about two ways of strength-training that gives very different results.
To make bigger muscles the most normal training is doing slowly contractions with a weight you are able to lift 8-12 times.
Many bodybuilders are using this kind of trainig, because its very effective for building volume in the muscles, and gaining bodyweight
But gaining bodyweight is not a goal for endurance-sport athlets.
Yes, we would like to be stronger, but we dont want a big bodymass.
How can we do that?
Training for bigger nevral muscle-capacity is the answer of that.
Scientist has been showing that also here is the 4 times 4 principles very effektive.
It meens that you train with weights you are able to lift 4 times maximum in 4 sets, with 2 minutes resting betwen every set.
Training in this very specific ways, that is simulating your special endurance-sport, has shown very good results in better working-economy.
